އެއްދުވަހެއްގެ ރޭގަނޑުގެ ވަގުތެވެ. ސަރުކާރުގެ ރަސްމީ މަސައްކަތެއްގައި އުޅެވުނު ރެއެކެވެ. އެންމެ މީހެއް ދެމީހެއް ނޫނެވެ. ގާތްގަނޑަކަށް ވިއްސަކަށް މީހުންނެވެ. ގިނައީ އަންހެން ކުދިންނެވެ. މަސައްކަތް ނިންމާލެވުނީ، ރޭގަނޑުގެ ދިހައެއް ޖަހައި ބޮޑުވި ފަހުންނެވެ. އޭގެ ފަނަރަ މިނެޓެއްހައިއިރު ކުރީން ވާރޭ ވެހެން ފަށައިފިއެވެ. މަސައްކަތް ނިންމާލާފައި ގެއަށް ދާން ނިކުތްއިރު ވެސް، ހައިކޮށްނުލައި ވެހެމުން ދެއެވެ.
އަންހެން ކުދީން ފޯނު ނަގައިގެން ޓެކްސީއެއް އަތުޖެހޭތޯ ސެންޓަރުތަކަށް ގުޅާން ފަށައިފިއެވެ. ވާނޭގޮތް ބުނެދޭން ޖެހޭނޭ ކަމަކަށް ނުފެނެއެވެ. އެތައް އިރެއް ވީއިރު ވެސް، ހަމަ އެންމެ ސެންޓަރަކަށް ވެސް ގުޅޭގޮތެއް ނުވިއެވެ. ދިހަވަރަކަށް މިނެޓް މިގޮތުގައި ހޭދަވި ފަހުން، އެމަގުން ދިޔަ ހުސްކާރެއް ފެނިގެން މަޑުކުރުވައިފިއެވެ. އެތަނުން ފަސް ކުއްޖަކު ކާރަށް އަރައިފިއެވެ. ތަފާތު ފަސް ގެއަކަށް ދާ ފަސް ކުދިން ކަމަށްވިޔަސް، އެއް ސަރަޙައްދަކަށް ދާ ކުދީންނެވެ. ޑުރައިވަރަށް ކޮށްފަދަ ބޮޑު ނިޢުމަތެއް ހެއްޔެވެ؟ އެއް ދޮނުގައި ފަސްބުޅި ޖަހައިލެވުނީއެވެ.
އެކުދީން ހީކުރީ ޑުރައިވަރުގެ ފަރާތުން ލިބޭނީ ޝުކުރުގެ ބަހެއް ކަމަށެވެ. އެހެނަސް ކަން ހިނގީ އެހެނެއް ނޫނެވެ. އެކަން އެނގުނީ ޖެހިގެން އައި ދުވަހު އެކުދީންނާ ދިމާވުމުންނެވެ. ކާރު ދުއްވާލީއްސުރެ ޑްރައިވަރުގެ ކަމަކަށް އޮތީ އެކުދީންނާ ދިމާއަށް ކުދި ކިޔުމެވެ. ފުރަތަމަ އެއްޗެހި ކީ ފަސް ކުދީން އެރީމަ އެކަމާއެވެ. ޤާާނޫނުގައި މަނާކަމެކޭ ބުނަމުންނެވެ. މަނާކަމެއް ނަމަ، ދަތުރަށް ފެށުމުގެ ކުރީން އެކަން ހަމަޖެއްސިދާނެއެވެ.
އެކި ތަންތަނަށް ޓެކްސީ މަޑުކުރަން ޖެހުމުން އެކަމާ ވެސް އަނގަތެޅި ކަމަށްވެއެވެ. އެހެންނަމަވެސް ހަމަ ކޮންމެ ކުއްޖަކު ވެސް ފައިބައިގެން ދަނީ، އޭނާއަށް ދަތުރުގެ އަގު ފައިސާއިން އަދާކޮށްފައެވެ. ނޫޓުގައި ހިފައި ޖީބަށް ލަނީ ދަހިވެތިކަމާއެކުގައެވެ. ފަހަރަކު ކުއްޖަކު ފައިބަމުން ގޮސް، އެންމެ ކުއްޖަކަށް ވެއްޖެއެވެ. ޑުރައިވަރުގެ ކޫސަނި އަނގަ ތެޅުން އަޑުއަހަން އެކަނި އިންނާކަށް ފަސޭހައެއްނުވިއެވެ. އެންމެފަހުން ފައިސާ ދިނުމަށްފަހު، ވާރޭ ވެހިވެހި އޮއްވާ ކާރު ދޫކޮށްލާފައި މަގަށް ފޭބީއެވެ. ގެއަށް ދިޔައީ ހިނގާފައެވެ. ދުވަހަކުވެސް ޓެކްސީއަކަށް ނާރާން ނުނިންމާކަމެއް ވެސް ނޭނގެއެވެ.
