ނޫހުގައި އޮތް ސުރުޚީ ކިޔައިލުމަށްފަހު އޭނާ ޚަބަރު ކިޔަންފެށީ، އެ ޚަބަރުގެ ސަބަބުން އޭނާގެ ހިތަށް ލޮޅުމެއް އަރާނެކަމަކަށް ނޫނެވެ. އެހެންނަމަވެސް ކަންތައްވީ ހީކުރި ގޮތަކަށް ނޫނެވެ. އެ ޚަބަރުން އޭނާގެ ހިތަށް ހެރުނީ ކަށިތަކެކެވެ. ސިކުނޑީގައި ހައިޖާނު އުފެއްދިއެވެ.
ފަޒީލާ ފައިސަލާ ކައިވެނިކުރީ އޭނާ ބޭނުންވެގެންނެވެ. އުމުރުން އެންމެ 13 އަހަރުގައެވެ. މައިން ބަފައިންގެ ރުހުމެއް ނެތިއެވެ. ފައިސަލަށް އޭރު ސަތާރަ އަހަރެވެ. ކައިވެންޏަށް އެއް މަސް ނުވަނީސް ފަޒީލާ ބަލިވެ އިނދެއްޖެއެވެ. އެހައި ޅައުމުރުގައި ބަލިވެ އިނުމުގެ ސަބަބުން، ވިހެއުމާ ހަމައަށް ވެސް ފަޒީލާ އުޅުނީ ބަލިކޮށެވެ. ފައިސަލްގެ ހިތުން ފަޒީލާއަށް ދެވިފައިވާ ޖާގަ ކުޑަވާން ފެށީ އެ ދުވަސްވަރުއެވެ. ބޭނުންވާ ކޮންމެ ވަގުތެއްގައި ފަޒީލާ ގޮވައިގެން ބޭރަށް ނުދެވޭތީއެވެ. ހިތަށް ލިބެންޖެހޭ ފިނިކަމުން ބަޔެއް އުނިވާތީއެވެ. ނަތީޖާއަކަށްވީ ދެ މަފިރީންގެ ގުޅުމުގެ ވާފަށް ހިމަވާން ފެށުމެވެ. ފަހަރަކު ފަށަކުން ކަހަލަ ގޮތަކަށް ކެނޑެމުން ދިޔުމެވެ. ލޯބީގެ ރަންކުލައިގެ މައްޗަށް ފޫއްސާއި ނުރުހުމުގެ ބަނަކަން ވެރިވަމުން ދިޔައީ ހީވެސް ނުކުރާހައި ހަލުވި ކޮށެވެ. ފަޒީލާ ވިހޭއިރު ފައިސަލް ހުރީ ރަށުގައެވެ. އަންގައިވެސް ނުލައި ފުރައިގެން ދިޔައީއެވެ.
ފަޒީލާ ވިހޭ ވާހަކަ ފައިސަލަށް އެންގީ ނުހަނު ފޮނި އުއްމީދާއެކުގައެވެ. އެހެނަސް ފައިސަލްގެ ފަރާތުން ލިބުނީ ހިތުން ލޭކަރުނަ ހިލުވައިލި ހިތްދަތި ޚަބަރެކެވެ. އެ ދެމަފިރީންގެ މެދުގައިވާ އޮތް ހަމައެކަނި ގުޅުން، އެއްވެސް ރަޙުމެއް ނެތި، ފައިސަލް ކަނޑައިލީއެވެ. މިޒާޖު ނުގުޅޭތީކަމަށް ބުނެފައެވެ. ފަޒީލާ ރުޔެވެ. ގިސްލިއެވެ. ކުޑަކުޑަ ކުއްޖަކު ގޮވައިގެން އެކަނިމާއެކަނި އުޅެން ޖެހުނީމައެވެ. އާއިލާގެ މާ ބޮޑު އަޅައިލުމެއް ނުލިބޭނޭކަން އެނގޭތީއެވެ.
ފައިސަލްގެ ރަހުމުކުޑަ އަމަލުގެ ސަބަބުން ފަޒީލާ ކުރި ހިތާމަ މަޑުމަޑުން ގޮސް ނަފުރަތަށް ބަދަލުވީ، ފައިސަލް އޭނާގެ ރަށުން އެހެން ކައިވެންޏެއް ކުރި ޚަބަރު ލިބުނު ދުވަހުން ފެށިގެންނެވެ. އެ ނަފުރަތުގެ ހުޅުގަނޑު އޭނާގެ ހިތުގައި އަނދާންފެށި ނަމަވެސް، ފައިސަލް ހުރީ އެ އަލިފާނުގެ ހޫނުކަން ފޯރާ ފަށަކު ނޫނެވެ. ފަޒީލާ ބޭނުންވަނީ އެ އަލިފާނުން ފައިސަލް ފިއްސައިލާށެވެ. އަންދައި ވެސް ލާށެވެ. މުޅިހަށިގަނޑު އެކީ އަޅިއަށް ހަދައިލާށެވެ. އޭނާއަށް ނުލިބުނު އުފަލެއްގެ ތެރޭގައި ފައިސަލަށް ނަށައި މަޖާކުރަން ހުރެވިގެން ނުވާނެއެވެ.
ފައިސަލާއި ފަޒީލާގެ ދަރިފުޅު، ޔޫހާއަށް މިހާރު ތިން އަހަރެވެ. ކުޑަކުޑަ ޔޫހާ ހިނގާ ބިނގާވެ އުޅެއެވެ. ރީތިކޮށް ނޫނަސް ވާހަކަ ދައްކާ ހަދައެވެ. އެހެންނަމަވެސް އެ ކުއްޖާއަކީ އެންމެ ފުރިހަމަ ސިއްޙަތުގައި ހުރި ކުއްޖެއް ނޫނެވެ. ރަނގަޅު ކާނާ ނުދެވޭތީއާއި އެންމެ އެދެވޭ ގޮތަށް އަޅައިނުލެވޭތީއެވެ. ކަން މިހެން އޮއްވާ، ފަޒީލާގެ ހިތުގައި އުފެދުނު ނަފުރަތުގެ އަލިފާންގަނޑުގެ ހޫނު އާވި، ސީދާގޮތެއްގައި ކުޑަކުޑަ ޔުހާއަށް އަމާޒުވާން ފަށައިފިއެވެ. ޔޫހާއަށް އަނިޔާއެއްކޮށް ލެވުމުން، ފަޒީލާގެ ހިތަށް ބުނެދޭން ނޭނގޭ ފަދަ ފިނިކަމެއް ލިބޭކަން އިޙުސާސްވާން ފަށައިފިއެވެ. އެ މަޢުޞޫމު ހަށިގަނޑުގައި އަޅާ ކޮންމެ ވޭނަކީ، ލިބޭ ކޮންމެ ކެކުޅުމަކީ ފައިސަލަށް ދެވޭ ހިތާމައެއް ކަމުގައި އިޙުސާސް ކުރެވޭން ފަށައިފިއެވެ.
އަނިޔާވެރިކަމުގެ އަތަކުން ލިބެމުން ދިޔަ އަނިޔާގެތެރޭގައި، ޔޫހާގެ އުމުރުން ފަސް އަހަރު ހޭދަކޮށްފިއެވެ. ފަޒީލާ ކައިވެންޏެއް ކުރީ އެ އަހަރުއެވެ. ދެ އަހަރެއްހައި ދުވަހުގެ ތެރޭގައި ހިތާވި، އަށެއްކަ މީހުންގެ ތެރެއިން، އެންމެ ފަހުން ހިތާވި މީހާއާއެވެ. ކަވެނި ކުރިތާ ދެ މަހެއް ނުވަނީސް ބަލިވެ އިނދެއްޖެއެވެ. ދުވަސްފުރައި ލޯބިލޯބި އަންހެން ދަރިއަކު ވިހައިފިއެވެ. އޭރު ޔޫހާގެ އުމުރުން ހަ އަހަރު ފުރިއްޖެއެވެ. ގުރޭޑު އެކަކަށް ވައްދާ އުމުރަށް އެޅުނީއެވެ. އެހެންނަމަވެސް ސުކޫލަކުން ޔޫހާއަކަށް ފުރުސަތެއް ނުލިބުނެވެ. އެކަމާ އުޅޭނެ މީހަކު ނެތުމުންނެވެ.
ފަޒީލާގެ ދެވަނަ ދަރިފުޅު އުފަންވުމާ ހިސާބުން ޔޫހާގެ ނިކަމެތިކަން ކުރިއަށްވުރެ ވެސް ބޮޑުވެއްޖެއެވެ. ކުރިން ކިތަންމެ އެއްޗެއް ކިޔަސް ކައި އެތިކޮޅު ލިބެއެވެ. މިހާރު އެވަރުވެސް ވާ ފަހަރަށްވުރެ، ނުވާ ފަހަރު ގިނަވާން ފަށައިފިއެވެ. ބަނޑުހައިކަން މަތީގައި، އެތައް ވަގުތެއް ހޭދަކުރާން ޖެހޭ ދުވަސް މަދެއް ނޫނެވެ. ވާތާވެގެން ނުތެދުވެވޭވަރު ވުމުން، ކައިއެތިކޮޅެއް ދިއްކޮށްލާ ދުވަސްތައް ވެސް ގިނަވާން ފަށައިފިއެވެ. ހިތްހަމަ ނުޖެހޭ ގޮތަށް ކުޑަކުޑަ ކަމެއް ކޮށްލެވުނަސް، ދުލަށް އައިހައި އެއްޗެއް ކިޔައި، އެވަރުން ނުފުދިގެން ތަޅައި އަނިޔާ ވެސް ކުރާން ފަށައިފިއެވެ.
ޔޫހާގެ އުމުރުން ދިހައަހަރު ފުރުނީ، މި ފަދަ ހާލެއްގައި ދުވަސްތައް ގުނަމުން ދަނިކޮށެވެ. މިއަދަކީ ވެސް އޭނާގެ ހަޔާތުގެ އަނދިރި ދުވަސްތަކުގެ ތެރެއިން ދުވަހެކެވެ. ހިތަށް އެރިހައި އެއްޗެއް ކިޔައި، ނުވީތާކަށް ބުރަކަށިމަތީގައި ވަރުހުރި ބޮނޑިއެއް އަޅައިފައި، ގެއިން ބޭރުކޮށްލި ދުވަހެކެވެ. ކުރީގައި މި ފަދަ ގޮތްގޮތް ހެދުމުން އޭނާއަށް އަސަރުކުރެއެވެ. ހިތުގައި ޖެހެއެވެ. ރޮވެއެވެ. އެހެންނަމަވެސް މިހާރު އެކަންކަން ވަނީ މުޅީން ބަދަލުވެފައެވެ. ކިތަންމެ ބާރަށް ޖެހިއަސް، ތަދުވާހެނެއް ހިއެއް ނުވެއެވެ. ލޮލުން އެންމެ ކަރުނަ ތިއްކެއް ވެސް ނުފެނެއެވެ.
ޔޫހާ މަޑުކޮށްލައިގެން ހުރީ ގޭ ކަންމަތީގައެވެ. ފާރުގައި ލެނގިލައިގެން ހުރިއިރު އޭނާގެ ސިކުނޑީގައި އެނބުރެމުން ދަނީ ކޮންކަހަލަ ޚިޔާލުތަކެއް ކަމެއް ނޭނގެއެވެ. އޭނާއަށް ކުއްލި ސިހުމެއް ލިބުނީ މީހަކު އައިސް އޭނާގާތު މަޑުކޮލިހެން ހީވެގެންނެވެ. ބަލައިލިއިރު ކުރިމަތީގައި ހުރީ ޒުވާން ފުރައިގެ ފިރިހެން ކުއްޖެކެވެ.
“މަށަށް ކިޔަނީ ޒިޔާ.” އެ ސޮރު ޔޫހާއާ ވާހަކަ ދައްކަންފެށިއެވެ. ހިތްހެޔޮކަމާއެކުގައެވެ. ގާތްގޮތަކަށް އަނގައިން ބުނެލާނެ މީހަކު ނުވެފައި ހުރި ޔޫހާއަށް ލިބުނީ ވަރަށް ބޮޑު އުފަލެކެވެ. އިސާހިތަކު ޒިޔާއާ ގާތްކަމާއެކު ވާހަކަ ދައްކަން ފެށުނެވެ. އޭނާގެ ހާލަތު ޒިޔާއަށް ކިޔައިދިނީ، އެއްވެސް ފޮރުވުމެއް ނެތިއެވެ.
އެ ދުވަހަށްފަހު ޒިޔާއާއި ޔޫހާގެ ގާތްކަން އައީ ބަދަހިވަމުންނެވެ. ފަޒީލާއަކަށް ތަނެއް ދޮރެއް ނޭނގެއެވެ. ގެއިން ބޭރަށް ނެރޭ ބައެއް ދުވަސްދުވަހު، ޒިޔާއާއެކު ހިނގާލަން ވެސް ދެއެވެ. ދެ ދުވަހަކު ކާން ވެސް ހިނގައްޖެއެވެ. މިއަދު ޒިޔާ އޭނާއަށް ދަޢުވަތު ދިނީ، އޭނާއާއެކު އެ ގެއަށް ދިޔުމަށެވެ. އޭނާ ޖެހިލުމެއް ނެތި ހިނގައްޖެއެވެ. އެއީ ޒިޔާގެ ގެއެއް ނޫނެވެ. ކުލީ ކޮޓަރިއެއްކަން އެނގިހުރެ، ޒިޔާގެ ފަހަތުން ގޮސް ވަނީ އެއް ވެސް ޖެހިލުމެއް ނެތިއެވެ.
ކޮޓަރިއަށް ވަނުމަށްފަހު، ޒިޔާގެ ހަރަކާތްތަކަށް ބަދަލުއައެވެ. މީގެ ކުރީން ދުވަހަކު ވެސް ޔޫހާގެ ގައިގައި ޒިޔާ އަތެއް ނުލައެވެ. ޔޫހާއަށް ފަސްޖެހެވުނެވެ. ހިތްތެޅިގަތެވެ. އެހެންނަމަވެސް ޒިޔާގެ ކުޅަދާނަ ބަސްތަކުން ޔޫހާގެ އެ ފަސްޖެހުމާއި ބިރުގަތުން ހަމައަކަށް އަޅުވައިލީ ނުހަނު ފަސޭހަކަމާއެކުގައެވެ.
ކުއްލިއަކަށް ކޮޓަރީގެ ދޮރުފަތް ހުޅުވިއްޖެއެވެ. ވަނީ ފުލުހުންގެ ތިން މީހެކެވެ. ޒިޔާއާއި ޔޫހާއަށް ލިބުނު ކުއްލި ސިހުމާއެކު އެނދުމަތީން ފުންމައިގެން ތެދުވެވުނެވެ. ފުލުހުން ވަދެ ޒިޔާގެ ދެ އަތުގައި ބިޑިއެޅުވިއެވެ.
ޔޫހާއަކީ ތޭރަ އަހަރުގެ ކުޑަ ކުއްޖެއްކަމުން ފުލުހުންގެ ތަޙުޤީޤަށްފަހު ފަޒީލާއާ ޔޫހާ ހަވާލުކޮށްފިއެވެ. އެހައިތަނުން ފަޒީލާގެ ރުޅި އެރީ އަށްޑިހައިން ނުވަދިހައަށެވެ. އޭނާ ވަގުތުން ނިންމީ ޔޫހާ އޭނާގެ ބައްޕަގެ ގާތަށް ފޮނުވައިލުމަށެވެ. އޭނާގެ ގާތުގައި ދެން ބަހައްޓައިފި ނަމަ، އޭނާގެ އަތުން ޔޫހާ މަރުވެދާނެތީއެވެ.
ބައްޕަގެ ރަށަށް ޔޫހާއަށް ދެވުނީ އެ ދުވަހުގެ އަސުރުން އިރުތިރިވި ފަހުންނެވެ. އޭނާ ބަލައި ފައިސަލް އައިސް ހުއްޓެވެ. އެއީ އޭނާއަށް އޭނާގެ ބައްޕަ ފެނުނު ފުރަތަމަ ފަހަރެވެ. ބައްޕައަކު ހުންނަކަމާއި، ބައްޕައަށް ކިޔަނީ ފައިސަލްކަން ކުރިން ވެސް އެނގެއެވެ. އެކަމަކު ފޮޓޯއެއްހައި ހިސާބު ވެސް ފެނިފައެއް ނެތެވެ.
ޔޫހާ ހީކުރީ ބައްޕައަށް އޭނާ ފެނުމުން ވަރަށް އުފާވާނެ ކަމަށެވެ. ލޯބިން ބައްދައިލާނޭ ކަމަށެވެ. އޭނާ އެކަމަށް ނުހަނު އުއްމީދު ކުރިއެވެ. އެހެންނަމަވެސް ކަން ވެގެންދިޔައީ، ހީކުރި ގޮތަކަށް ނޫނެވެ. ޔޫހާއާ އަނގައިން ނުބުނިތާނގައި، ހިނިތުން ވެސް ވެނުލިއެވެ. ގޮވައިގެން ގެއަށް ދިޔައީ މަޖުބޫރުން ގެންދާ ކުއްޖަކު ފަދައިންނެވެ.
ބައްޕަގެ ގެއިން ވެސް ޔޫހާއަށް ކުރިމަތިވީ އެކަނިވެރިކަމެވެ. ބައްޕަގެ ފުށުން ލޯތްބެއް ނުލިބުނެވެ. ދޮންމަންމަގެ ކިބައިން ގާތްކަމެއް ވެސް ނުފެނުނެވެ. މަންމަގެ ގާތުގައި ހޭދަކުރި ދުވަސްތަކުގައި ލިބުނު ފަދަ އަނިޔާވެރިކަން އިހުސާސްކުރަން ނުޖެހުނު ނަމަވެސް، ހިތަށް ލިބުނު ވޭން ކުޑައެއް ނޫނެވެ. ދޮން މަންމަ، އޭނާގެ ދަރީންނަށް ދޭ ލޯތްބާއި، ބަހައްޓާ ގާތްކަން ފެނި، އެ ލޯތްބަށް ޔޫހާގެ ހިތް އާދޭސް ކުރަން ފެށިއެވެ. މަޔެއްގެ ފަރާތުން ދުވަހަކު ވެސް ލޯތްބެއް ލިބިފައި ނުވާ، ޔޫހާގެ ހިތް އެދި ގޮވަމުން ދިޔައީ، ދޮން މަންމަގެ އޯގާވެރި ކަމަށެވެ. ލޯބިން އެންމެ ފަހަރަކު ނަމަވެސް ބުރަކަށީގައި ފިރުމައިލުމަށެވެ.

ޔޫހާގެ ވިޔާނުދާ އުޅުމާމެދު ނުރުހުމުގެ ކަނިތައް ބުރަބުރާ އޮތް ފައިސަލްގެ ހިތް އަންނަނީ ރުޅިވެރިކަމުން ފުރެމުންނެވެ. ބަންޑުންވާ ހިސާބަށް ދަނީއެވެ. އެ ކަމަށް ޓަކައި އޭނާގެ އަންހެނުން ކުރާ މަސައްކަތް ވެސް އަންނަނީ ކާމިޔާބު ވަމުންނެވެ. އެންމެފަހުން ފައިސަލްގެ ރުޅި ކޮންޓުރޯލުން ނައްޓައިފިއެވެ. އެރޭ ދިހައެއް ވެސް ޖެހިފަހުން ޔޫހާ އައިސް ގެއަށް ވަނުމާއެކު، ފައިސަލަކަށް ކެތެއް ނުކުރެވުނެވެ. ރުޅިއައިސް ފުފައި ހުރެ، އެތިވަރު ގޮވައިގެންފައި، ބުރަކަށިމަތީގައި ބޮނޑިއެއް އަޅައިފިއެވެ.
“ގައިގައި އަތްނުލައި ހުރޭ! ތީ މަގޭ ބައްޕައެއް ކަމަކަށް މަށެއް ނުބަލަން!” ބައްޕަގެ އަނިޔާވެރި ހަމަލާ ހަށިގަނޑަށް އެރުމާއެކު، ޔޫހާއަށް ހަޅޭއްލަވައިގަނެވުނެވެ.
“އެހެންތަ؟ އެހެންވިއްޔާ ތީ މަގޭ ދަރިއެއް ވެސް ނޫން! ހަމަ މިހާރު މިގޭން ނިކުމޭ!” ފައިސަލް ތުރުތުރު އަޅައިގަތެވެ. އެ ދިޔަ ގޮތަށް ގޮސް، ޔޫހާ ގެއިން ބޭރަށް ނެރެ، ކޮއްޕާލުމަށްފަހު، ދޮރު ލައްޕާ ތަޅުލައިފިއެވެ.
ކޮއްޕާލިލެއް ބާރުކަމުން ޔޫހާ ވެއްޓުނީ މަގުމައްޗަށެވެ. ތަދުވިއެއް ކަމަކު އޭނާ ނުރޮއެވެ. ކަރުނައިގެ ތެތްކަމުން ލޮލެއް ނުތެމުނެވެ. އެ ވަގުތު އޭނާގެ އަތުގައި ހިފީ އޭނާގެ ބައްޕަ ފަރާތު ތިމާގެ މީހެކެވެ. ހިވީ ދުރުގައި މަންޒަރު ބަލަން ހުރި ހެންނެވެ.
ކުރިމަތިވެފައިވާ އެކަނިވެރި ނިކަމެތި ހާލާމެދު ވިސްނައިލުމުން ޔޫހާއަށް ރޮވެއެވެ. މަންމަގެ ލޯތްބެއް ނުލިބުނެވެ. ބައްޕަގެ އަޅައިލުމެއް ނުލިބުނެވެ. ރައްޓެއްސެއްގެ ގޮތުގައި ބަލައިގަންނަ ކޮންމެ މީހަކު ވެސް ބަލަނީ، އަމިއްލަ ފައިދާއެއް ހާޞިލު ކުރެވޭތޯއެވެ. މިއީ ކޮންކަހަލަ ދުނިޔެއެއް ހެއްޔެވެ؟ އެއްބަޔަކު އުފަލުން ހެމުން، ނަށަމުން ދުވާއިރު، އަނެއް ބަޔަކަށް މިޖެހެނީ، ކަރުނައިގެ ކޯރެއްގައި މަންޒިލެއް ނެތި ފަތާށެވެ. މިއަދު ޔޫހާ އެ ވަނީ އެ ފަދަ ކޯރެއްގައި ފަތަފަތާ ވަރުބަލިވެފައެވެ. އޭނާ ބޭނުންވަނީ ވަރުބަލި ފިލުވައިލާށެވެ. މަންމަގެ އުނގުގައި ކުޑަ ކުއްޖަކު ފަދައިން އޮވެ ނިދައިލާށެވެ.
